이규식은 서울시립미술관 전시교육과 학예연구사로 난지미술창작스튜디오의 프로그램을 기획·운영하고 있으며, 기획자 공동 운영 플랫폼 WESS의 공동 큐레이터(2021–)로 활동하고 있다. 서울시립미술관×재외문화원 순회전 《세계의 저편》(도쿄, 홍콩, 오사카 한국문화원), 《플레어》(WESS, 2023), 《잠재감각》(배렴가옥, 2022), 《작은 불화》(탈영역우정국, 2020), 《뉴노멀》(오래된 집, 2020) 등의 전시를 기획했다. 퀴어와 소수자에 대한 관심을 기반으로 전시를 통한 예술의 실천적 전략에 대해 탐구해 왔으며, 근래에는 변화하는 국내외 미술 환경 속에서 레지던시의 역할과 방향성을 모색하고 있다. 
Gyusik Lee is a curator at Nanji Residency, Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA), and has been a co-curator for the collaborative platform WESS since 2021. He has curated exhibitions such as Far, Far Side of the World (a SeMA × KCC (Korean Cultural Center) Touring Exhibition at the KCC of Tokyo, Hong Kong, Osaka), Flare (WESS, 2023), Crypesthesia (Baeryeom House, 2022), Minor Infelicities (Post Territory Ujeongguk, 2020), New Normal (Old House, 2020). Grounded in an interest in queer and minority issues, he has explored the practical strategies of art through exhibitions. Recently, he has been investigating the role and direction of residencies within the changing art scene.
